Page heading: Provence

Map of France showing Provence in the southeast Let Caprice Tours introduce you to the warmth of Provence, where blue skies and sunshine seem to permeate every facet of life. Along with visits to some of the lovely villages

that dot the Provençal landscape, we journey into the historic and artistic past of the region with visits to the cities of Arles and Avignon, where incredible 2000 year-old monuments to the Roman civilization still stand majestically.

A boat-tour of the hauntingly beautiful Camargue introduces us to some fantastic natural sites. To the south, we visit the Mediterranean coastline, and to the east, the inspirational abbey of Sénanque.

What visit to Provence would be complete without sampling its famous culinary delights? Seafood from the Mediterranean, taureau from the Camargue, and, of course, olives from the many hillside groves all play center-stage in the exquisite regional cuisine, accompanied by excellent Côtes-du-Rhône wines and the anise-flavored apéritif pastis.

Included in this tour:

  • seven nights and six days in a carefully selected hotel
