For this tour, we stay in one of the lovely hamlets located among
the vineyards of the Gard, west of Provence, in the shadow of the
Pic-St-Loup mountain, whose trails provide some pleasurable hiking
to locals and visitors alike.
Just a heartbeat away from the Mediterranean, this quiet setting
offers you the opportunity to relax into the southern rhythm of
French life.
Weather permitting, we will breakfast in the garden, take leisurely
strolls in the narrow streets of local villages and theirair
markets, visit with local wine growers to learn some tips about
wine, learn to prepare some tasty French dishes, take some day hikes,
visit local sites of interest...as you wish: the tour is fully customized
to adapt to your personal penchants.
For this tour only, we spend our week together in what the French
call a gîte, a home away from home, decorated à
la provençale, and equipped with all the modern comforts,
including laundry facilities and a private garden. Someevenings,
we will dine in well-reputed restaurants; other evenings, dinner
will be prepared and served at the gîte.
